Born in Tangier (Morocco) and settled in Angoulême since 1997, Afif obtained a National Diploma of Plastic Arts at the School of Fine Arts in 2000. A month later, he was hired by a mobile phone video game company, as an illustrator and flash animator for website. An activity that he continues to pursue independently. In 2001, he and Jean-Pierre Andrevon illustrated a comic strip in «KOG l’encre monde», a monthly magazine published by Éditions Harnois. He also works with the Angoumoisin collective, Choco Creed. Since 1999, he has been producing numerous illustrations for various magazines and magazines such as «Galaxie» and «Asphodal» at Imaginaires sans frontière. Then there is the cartoon adaptation of Jean-Pierre Andrevon’s 1969 novel «Le Travail du Furet à l’intérieur du poulailler»: «Les Chroniques de Centrum».
